ARE YOU TOO BUSY? EVER TRIED THIS?... We live in a busy world. I felt this way as I was cleaning our house. You know that domestic work that goes on and on. One day, a memory of my past came to mind, I had to clean on Saturday, which my mother had us do when we were children. She would say, "You can't go out to play until you help clean this house." We would scurry around, hurrying up to release us from our assigned task. Recently, I was doing my Saturday Clean Day list, and I realized it never ends unless you stop. One thing leads to another. I felt like one of those robot floor cleaners that almost ran over me at a QuickTrip; I ran inside to pay for my gas, and as I turned around to leave, one of those scary robot things stopped at my feet just in time. The recording said Thank you for stopping, so I can clean. I thought, 'What a busy world it is, cleaning itself and will never stop.' THE DAY WE START....... When you read those words what do you feel? Don't know about you but these last two years during the Covid-19 life interruption, the world crisis, wars, or rumors of wars and you name it. You probably have a list of personal things you could add. So when you read "The Day We Start", you could feel a release with good feelings or have a sense of dread. I hope it's good feelings. MY THOUGHTS TODAY.... Just sitting here this morning after so many things going through my mind. I am a "Control Person." Can you relate? I bet you can! I want to place everything where it is SUPPOSED to be, my way. These past two years, with all the world's changes, oh my, it is feeling so out of control. I don't have all the answers. I wish I did. In a few days, it will be the 4th of July. I love Celebrating America. It is the Land of the Free. What does that mean to you? To me, since I have lived here all my life I've not experienced any other way but free. I know one thing, we better cherish it and not take it for granted. I sure can't live in fear of it being taken away. I take one day at a time. As I get older I know the true meaning of the importance of our government. We live by the Constitution of America written by our forefathers long ago and it still stands today. A little prayer would do us all good right now to protect the things we hold dear. So on this day, we Celebrate our Country, lets stop and say a prayer and reflect on the men and women who fought for our Liberty. Well, today is the last day of June, and can you believe we are halfway through 2021? Looking back to the 2020 year it was unbelievable. For all of us worldwide we worked our way through Covid-19. All I have to say is revealed what life is all about. For me, I had a good look into how life is fragile and it is to be respected. It's now Summer as of June 21st. Been some crazy weather this year. It was the year of the Cicada's return. We listened to their chirps for about 3 weeks and now that they are gone we see the results of their circle of the life span. Seems they focused on the Oak trees mostly. We have lots of brown leaves hanging on. It will be interesting to see what this year's Fall foliage will display. NATIONAL PIZZA DAY IS TODAY Just heard today is National Pizza Day. Don't know who decides what each day is a National Day, but seems lately each day has something interesting. Needless to say, today is one of my favorites because I love Pizza. Who doesn't? I haven't met one soul who would say, "Not Me!" Young and old alike will put one hot slice in hand and down it in no time. As our in house family chef, it is the easiest meal one can prepare or call in to pick up.
