Well, today is the last day of June, and can you believe we are halfway through 2021?  Looking back to the 2020 year it was unbelievable. For all of us worldwide we worked our way through Covid-19. All I have to say is revealed what life is all about. For me, I had a good look into how life is fragile and it is to be respected.

It's now Summer as of June 21st.  Been some crazy weather this year. It was the year of the Cicada's return.  We listened to their chirps for about 3 weeks and now that they are gone we see the results of their circle of the life span.  Seems they focused on the Oak trees mostly.  We have lots of brown leaves hanging on.  It will be interesting to see what this year's Fall foliage will display.

My message today is to start practicing how to live in the moment.  It will a bit difficult to start.  We live way too fast.  It really is healthy to stop and experience what is happening in the "here and now".

To do this begin stopping in your favorite place.  Mine is in my swing on our porch overlooking the mountain ranges before us.  When the leaves of off the trees I can count 37 ranges.  Needless to say, it is beautiful.  I practice first of all being still, quieting my mind.  I was told once to sit still and try to hear 5 things making sounds around me.  At first, I thought that is impossible, but you know what?  Sure enough, I heard more than 5.  It showed me all the noises that go on around us that we are not even aware of.  In the end, I found my body more in tune with myself in a healthy way.

I hope you will be helped by my thoughts today.  I plan on this last day of June to take time to visit my "me" in the stillness of this day that is given to me.  Go and enjoy this day!

Here is a picture of an evening sunset view from my swing. It was so silent that evening I could hear a whippoorwill in the distance and it came closer and closer.  I began to think it was coming near me as a gift from God showing me one of His creations.  I experienced a delightful feeling..
